Krystina Jiron, Esq.

Krystina Jiron, Esq. is the principal shareholder of Jiron Law, P.A.  As a former shareholder of one of Miami's most prominent boutique insurance law firms, she has over 18 years of experience handling complex insurance coverage, bad faith, personal injury and catastrophic loss matters from pre-suit negotiations, through trial and the appellate process.  Mrs. Jiron has argued and prevailed in several appellate matters before Florida's district courts of appeals and the U.S. Appellate Court for the Eleventh Circuit.

Mrs. Jiron is also fluent in Spanish and has significant experience handling international matters, including representation of various foreign governments in the U.S. Federal District Courts and on appeal at the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals including issues involving Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, jurisdiction, choice of law, and forum non conveniens.

Mrs. Jiron also serves as Counsel to the Board of Directors of the Down Syndrome Association of Miami and is a passionate advocate for people with disabilities.

Mrs. Jiron is a member of the Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association, the Coral Gables Bar Association and the Cuban American Bar Association.  She is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern districts of Florida.  She is an active parishioner of the Church of the Little Flower, Coral Gables.

Mrs. Jiron is a Miami native and graduate of New World School of the Arts.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Political Science and Philosophy from Loyola University, New Orleans, graduating cum laude in 2001.  She received her J.D. from Villanova University Law School in 2004.  While in law school, Krystina was the Managing Editor of Outside Works for the Villanova Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and was a member of the 2002 Jessup International Moot Court Team.  She also authored The Balancing Act: How Copyright and Customary Practices Protect Large Dance Companies over Pioneering Choreographers, 11 Vill. Sports & Ent. L. Forum 139 (2004).
